5 Re-covering my keyboard tray

Well, it happened.

After a couple of months of use the fabric I used to repair my keyboard and mouse tray got all dirty and stained. Time for a fashion makeover.

This is how the cover looked before the quick facelift. I had not used anything to protect the fabric from stains, which proved foolish.

This time I used spray adhesive to cover the mouse, and as the last step gave it a thorough soaking of Scotchgard. Let's see how long this one lasts clean.

I really like the new fabric. It is a beautiful pattern, and a very soft cotton.

I don't know how often I'll have to recover them now, let's hope the Scotchgard pays off. It doesn't really matter if it only lasts a couple of months at a time. I'd rather do that than buying a new tray, plus I get to change it to my fabric du jour whenever it strikes my fancy.

I'd love to hear from you. Say something, but be nice or I'll tell your mom.
